First SDC of 2019!

The Yorkshire region ran its first event of the year today, the Diving For All (DfA) instructors course. Well done to Rachel from Selby SAC, Matt & Tessa from Sheffield Hallam Uni SAC and Tony from West Yorkshire Fire Service SAC for completing the course. A lot of thought provoking and informative information was provided by Dennis Wigg and Sophie Heptonstall. Many thanks to Robin Hood Watersports (ROHO) for providing the training room and pool facilities. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Womack Snr

John Womack Snr was a long standing member of the Bradford Club from when he joined our Club in 1972 . He soon worked his way up within the British Sub Aqua Club and became a First (1st) Class Diver in 1979 as well as an Advanced Instructor. John has been a member of the branch and Bradford BSAC continually since he joined all those years ago. He was the Diving Officer in the 70’s and then became Chairman of the club.
